Simon's Rocks
$6.00Price
This was one of my first paintings of rocks. It was created to help raise funds for childrean's cancer research as part of my bicycle ride across Canada after my son Simon passed away from childhood leukemia. The piece was inspired by many walks along Hirtle’s Beach on Nova Scotia’s South Shore — a place that offered space to think, grieve, and keep moving forward.
The original piece was purchased, as part of the fundraiser, by a close friend and given as a wedding gift to his wife (another dear friend). I’ve always appreciated the meaning in that — something created during a time of profound loss becoming part of someone else’s celebration of a new chapter.
