The stones in this image come from the shoreline of Lot 5 on Oak Island — a place long tied to one of history’s most enduring treasure hunts. Working as an archaeologist on the site, I pass these rocks every day, and they’ve become a quiet reminder that history isn’t always found in dramatic discoveries.
