Gaff Point Rocks

Gaff Point Trail near Hirtle’s Beach is one of my favourite places to hike. On this walk, it wasn’t the sweeping coastal views that stopped me — it was the quiet detail at my feet. Along the grassy edge of the shoreline, the water moved gently over the rocks, bringing out deep, warm tones that seemed to shift with the light. I paused to photograph the scene and later turned it into a painting. Moments like that remind me that inspiration often arrives quietly — if you’re paying attention.
