Shoreline Fragments

These rocks with an attitude caught my attention because they weren’t smooth or uniform. They’re jagged, angular, scarred in places — shaped by pressure, collision, and years of exposure to wind and water. And yet together, they create something unexpectedly beautiful.

There’s a quiet parallel to life in that. Few of us move through it untouched. We carry rough edges shaped by setbacks, loss, mistakes, and change. We’re rarely polished in the way we imagined we might be. But those experiences often become part of what gives us depth, character, and resilience.

These stones reminded me that strength doesn’t always look refined. Sometimes beauty is found in what has endured — and in learning to appreciate the imperfect shapes our lives can take along the way.
